About Dr. Novitskie

Dr. Dorothy Novitskie, Ph.D. (legally and professionally credentialed as Dorota W. Novitskie, Ph.D.) is the founder of Novitskie Forensic Psychology, LLC and a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist with more than two decades of experience across clinical, forensic, law enforcement, correctional, and outpatient settings.

Dr. Novitskie has extensive experience in psychological assessment, forensic evaluation, psychotherapy, and consultation. Her work includes specialized expertise in complex trauma, forensic and psycho-legal evaluation, violence and sexual risk assessment, police and public safety psychology, and the assessment and treatment of justice-involved populations.

Academic, Research, and Professional Contributions

 

In addition to her clinical and forensic practice, Dr. Novitskie has engaged in research, authored publications, and presented at national and state professional conferences. She has provided clinical supervision and research mentorship to graduate students.

Dr. Novitskie currently serves as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has previously taught at Ramapo College, Bergen Community College, and Saint Elizabeth University, teaching more than 60 undergraduate and graduate courses.

Clinical Specializations

Dr. Novitskie is certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and provides state-of-the-art treatment for chronic pain through Override Health.

 

​She is also trained in EMDR and holds certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level 2 (CCTP-2).

​

Dr. Novitskie also specializes in services for police and public safety professionals and is part of the New Jersey PBA Clinical Team.
