About Dr. Novitskie

​

Dr. Novitskie’s career spans more than two decades in clinical-forensic and outpatient settings. She has provided psychological assessment and treatment to individuals across the lifespan, from early childhood through end-of-life stages of care. Her work is grounded in extensive training and experience in both clinical and forensic mental health evaluation, with particular expertise in complex psycho-legal matters.

Dr. Novitskie has specialized training in diagnostic, clinical, and violence/sexual risk assessment involving both adult and juvenile populations. She conducts psychological evaluations at the county, state, and federal levels and provides expert testimony in civil and criminal proceedings. Her work reflects a balanced, methodical approach informed by both empirical research and hands-on forensic experience.

  • Workers’ Compensation and disability evaluations

  • Civil commitment evaluations, including Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) matters

  • Megan’s Law / CSL / PSL removal evaluations

Academic, Research, and Professional Contributions

 

In addition to her clinical and forensic practice, Dr. Novitskie has engaged in research, authored publications, and presented at national and state professional conferences. She has provided clinical supervision and research mentorship to graduate students.

Dr. Novitskie currently serves as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has previously taught at Ramapo College, Bergen Community College, and Saint Elizabeth University, teaching more than 60 undergraduate and graduate courses.

Clinical Specializations

Dr. Novitskie is certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and provides state-of-the-art treatment for chronic pain through Override Health.

 

​She is also trained in EMDR and holds certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level 2 (CCTP-2).

​

In 2026, Dr. Novitskie expanded her practice to include specialized services for police and public safety professionals.
